Over the last 17 years I've been able to work on projects for a variety of companies and individuals. Projects have ranged from simple identities to entire advertising campaigns, wedding invitations to nursery murals, DVD graphics to audio recordings, full-scale web sites to individual marketing and promotional pieces. My primary goal is get the job done... efficiently and correctly. I try to cater to my clients varying requests, while offering a bit of myself to each project.
I been building and doodling for as long as I can remember. If an object could be taken apart, it was mine for the taking. If it could be used inappropriately, I was inappropriate. My curious nature, combined with a bit of perfectionism, led to an interesting education. I enjoyed art for its appearance, but I craved it's technical underbelly. How did it happen? What else can it do? For better or worse, I ended up a little good, at a lot of things.
In college I designed shirts, flyers and CDs. I graduated, and went to work for one of the largest printed garment companies in the world. I began designing garments for people, groups, and businesses. I was also able to learn the intricacies of screen printing. I moved on to develop presentations for the same company. Eventually, we moved to New York City. I spent some time creating CD designs and web sites for a CD replication house in Manhattan. After a while, I drifted into the publishing world at New York Magazine. As a Senior Promotional Designer, I was able broaden my design scope. Promotions, marketing, advertising, direct mail, invitations, event signage, television graphics, and more... I also spent more time at the printer. Press checks and printer interaction gave me a lasting appreciation for the printing process. Several subsequent moves allowed me enter the workforce as a freelance and permalance designer. Since then, I've been able to work with some amazing people and groups. I've learned from each project, and hopefully I've left a positive impressions on each one.
